Job description

We require reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated professionally registered vaccinators to join our bank. The role involves supporting a team that provides vaccinations to patients in the community, residential settings, and their own homes.

The role involves working as part of a dynamic team across Northumberland and North Tyneside, delivering winter vaccinations in acute and community settings. Responsibilities include clinical assessment, vaccine preparation and administration, and supporting patients in residential settings and at home.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, with flexible days and hours. Applicants must be able to drive and have access to a car, as travel to various locations is required.

The post holder will:

  • Assist with configuring vaccination stations
  • Conduct pre-vaccination assessments using IT systems
  • Review complex medical histories and potential adverse reactions
  • Prepare vaccines aseptically
  • Administer vaccines according to guidance
  • Ensure clinical outcomes by adhering to current skills, policies, and procedures
  • Work alone at times and travel between locations during shifts
