Job summary

Clay Hill School are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join their Education team now on a bank basis! We are looking for a versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary.

Aspris Children’s Services will provide training and opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will have prior classroom support experience and a Level 2 qualification, with safeguarding screening as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting.
• Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) appropriate to the teaching/learning environment of learners and young adults.

Clay Hill School is an independent specialist day school for young people with autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) and associated complex needs. We provide education for young people aged 5 to 19 years.

As a Teaching Assistant, your primary objective will be to provide personalised educational assistance to a specific pupil in need of additional support. Your role will involve building a strong rapport with the pupil, understanding their individual needs, and implementing strategies to enhance their learning experience. You will work collaboratively with the school staff, parents, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the pupil's overall development and success.
