Job summary

The Walnuts School in Milton Keynes is seeking a Bank Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism and learning difficulties. This role is part-time and permanent, with the opportunity to work flexibly as part of our bank staff.

Successful applicants will join a caring team and receive DBS checks and safeguarding training. Visits to the school are encouraged, and all applicants must be suitable to work with vulnerable children and adults.

Bank Teaching Assistant

Grade D

£14.36 per hour

No fixed hours or days (working hours can be flexible to suit your needs)

Are you passionate about working with children and young people with Autism and learning difficulties but are unable to commit to a full-time job? If so we may have the perfect job for you. We are looking for people to join our ‘bank staff’. You will receive all the training and benefits of a permanent member of staff without having to commit to the set Teaching Assistant Hours.

The Walnuts School is an all age (Reception to Year 14) special school for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Social Communication Difficulties with associated learning difficulties, operating across 2 Campuses in Milton Keynes.

If you have not worked in SEN before, but are enthusiastic and motivated to make the move, we will give you additional training and provide support.
