Bank Support Worker. Summergil House, Presteigne, Hourly rate - £11.50 per hour We’re a leading organisation dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and adults with complex needs associated with autism.

About our home Summergil: Surrounded by 18 acres of fields and woodlands, with its own stream and lake, a swimming pool, sports hall, and abundant outdoor and indoor learning and play opportunities, Summergil House is a stunning school and home on the border of Herefordshire and Powys. Our team of creative education, care, and therapeutic professionals support children to feel safe and respected, providing bright and colorful child-friendly environments to learn, live, and make friends. Our aim is to help children be themselves, creating lasting memories of childhood as they develop into independent young people and adults.

A typical day will include: As a Support Worker at Summergil, you will play a crucial role in supporting our young people’s daily activities, educational needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a dedicated team including teachers, therapists, and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized care to each person in their daily activities, including personal care, learning, and social interactions.
  • Foster a safe and positive environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of each person.
  • Implement individualized care plans under the guidance of a supportive senior team.
  • Support our young people during recreational activities, outings, and community integration.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our young people, celebrating their achievements and milestones.

Please note: This job involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
