Job summary

The National Autistic Society is seeking caring Bank Support Workers to join Community Services Somerset. You will support 13 residents across 6 houses, following individual plans and daily routines, with shifts that may include evenings and weekends. A driving licence is preferred and all staff undergo safeguarding checks.

• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential.
• Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome.
• Ability to work flexible bank shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Possession of a driving licence preferred.
• Commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts).
• Support life skills and independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation).
