Job Summary

We’re hiring for Bank Support Workers at our Children's and Young Person’s Short Breaks service in Clevedon. We support children and young people aged between 14 and 25 for overnight stays to develop independence skills as part of our pathways to adulthood service.

We’re looking for outgoing, active, and dynamic individuals with a can-do attitude and a desire to help someone live a full life!

As a children and young adult support worker, you’ll be flexible to support across the week, including pick up and drop off at school/college, weekends, support after school, and in the school holidays. You will work on a 1-1 basis to develop and work towards individualised outcomes, such as managing money, socialising, cooking, cleaning. Everyone’s pathway will be different, and you will play a key role in preparing them for adulthood.

Lots of fun and engaging activities are planned for the people we support, such as swimming, bowling, sports lessons, and the cinema.

The support you provide will be centered around each person’s values, preferences, and needs. You will also need to support with personal care and medication needs. We have full and part-time hours available, including various shifts from 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 9.30pm, 8am – 8pm, 7am – 10am, and occasional sleep-ins.

Time to complete training is paid.

We cover the cost of DBS checks.

Rota's are planned in advance.

You will:
