Job Advert Location Description
The role is primarily concerned with supporting our residents to live their lives, practicing skills they learn in the home, out in the community.
Support workers also play a key role in supporting residents before, during, and after meal times, which can be an understandably difficult time for those living with eating disorders.
Job Advert Role Description
Althea Park House is a 7-bed specialist residential service providing medium to long-term support and treatment for young people and young adults (aged 16-25) suffering from eating disorders and other associated complex mental health difficulties.
We also have The Anchor, a 3-bed semi-independent step-down home (18+) on the Althea Park House site.
This role offers an opportunity to build long-term, meaningful therapeutic relationships and use them to support people in affecting change. We are fortunate to be able to do this in warm, homely environments within the beautiful Stroud Valleys, Gloucestershire.
Our therapeutic model focuses on supporting residents to build a life outside of their eating disorder or mental illness. We work hard to help those living in our homes to build resilience, a sense of self, and the ability to connect with the world around them.
Experience working within Eating Disorders is ideal but not required. We are keen to recruit the right person above all.
Shifts are 7.5 hours long, working across 7 days.
Early shift: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Late shift: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Colleagues can also opt to work long days (7:30 am - 10:30 pm)
Waking night shifts are 10 pm - 8 am.
