Job summary

Landau is seeking a Bank Support Worker in Stoke-on-Trent to support adults with learning disabilities in a training centre and community settings.

You will work flexibly to ensure care plans, safeguarding and wellbeing requirements are met, helping individuals develop life skills, independence and confidence through educational, vocational and community activities.

This is a contract, part-time, on-site role with a commitment to inclusion, dignity and choice in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support in line with individual care and support plans.
  • Work with tutors to identify and deliver tailored support and interventions.
  • Support safe participation in centre-based and community activities.
  • Provide targeted support to help individuals complete tasks and develop skills, confidence and independence.
  • Identify and address barriers to learning and engagement.
  • Support learner portfolios, assessments, reviews and accurate record-keeping where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour management in line with policies.
  • Contribute to creative approaches to engagement and programme delivery.
  • Provide pastoral support, information, advice and guidance to promote progression.
  • Maintain accurate records including daily notes, incident reports and support plans.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding and Confidentiality policies and report concerns promptly.
  • Keep managers and tutors informed of learner progress and liaise with stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Provide 1:1 support in line with personal care plans and risk assessments.
  • Act as key worker for identified learners, promoting engagement and achievement.
  • Monitor health, wellbeing and welfare, including safeguarding requirements.
  • Provide flexible support across the organisation as required.
  • Contribute to team meetings.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Support Worker to join Landau.
