Position: Bank Support Worker

Pay Rate: £15.30 per hour


Shift Pattern: Mon to Fri - 4:15pm - 8:30pm, Sat & Sun 1:30pm - 8:00pm



Requirements

  • MUST have childcare experience & Autism or Mental Health experience.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis; you must currently be based in/around the Redruth area and able to commute.


About the Role

We've got a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in Redruth, Cornwall. This is a young individual who has severe complex health, behavioural difficulties and is a wheelchair user. We are looking for someone who has experience with children and can manage the behaviours that challenge. If you are resilient, reliable, empathetic and looking for a role that truly makes a difference to someone else's life then we want to hear from you.



Key Responsibilities

  • Support Workers cover all manners of support for others - from companionship and days out, to personal care and housekeeping.
  • Support with all facets of daily living.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
  • Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.
  • Aid with light household chores which may include cooking and cleaning.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
  • Complex care background.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
