Job summary

LDA Care Ltd in Oswestry is recruiting Bank Support Workers to support a young man with autism, learning disabilities, ADHD and PICA on a 2:1 basis. Pay is £15.00 per hour, with full-time, part-time and bank roles available.

We seek positive, caring and proactive people with patience, empathy and strong communication skills. Experience with PBS or willingness to be trained, and a person-centred approach are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or complex health conditions is desirable.

We are committed to Equal opportunities.We are currently recruiting for Full time, Part time & Bank Support Workers to support an individual with Autism, learning disability, ADHD and PICA in Oswestryon a 2:1 basis.

We’re looking for positive, caring and proactive individuals to join a dedicated support team for a young man in his parentshome.

To be part of their team, they are looking for the following qualities from a team member:
  • Provide support during the good times and the difficult periods our individual faces in their daily life.
  • Understand Autism or have had experience working with Autistic people, and that you understand that being autistic is an important part of who they are.
  • Be a positive advocate for them.
  • Be consistent – do what you say you say you will if you can’t explain why.
  • Be prepared to motivate them in a supportive manner
  • Be patient and understanding encourage them on the difficult days
  • Work with them to solve issues and overcome day to day tasks
  • Come to work to “Get to know me” as that is what is needed to support them
  • Work as part of the team who deliver amazing person-centred care
  • Be able to support in a familyhome, which has a dog.

Schedule:
  • 08:00 to 20:00 (7 days a week)
  • Overtime available
Refer a Friend Bonus:
  • £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their first shift
  • £125 once the referred individual has successfully completed their probation period
