Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is seeking compassionate Support Practitioners to assist individuals living in their own homes across Scotland, including medication and daily tasks. A full UK manual driving licence is required to drive the supported person's car.

We value experience with autism and complex needs, and provide ongoing in-house training, travel paid during shifts, and opportunities for career progression within social care.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and caring nature.
• Good observation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in using computers.
• Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
• Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals living in their own homes with disabilities and/or additional support needs in daily life, including support with medication and finances, housework, meal preparation, cooking and personal care.
• Engage with people in activities and interests, from meals out to movies, gym sessions or group events.
