Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland in Edinburgh is seeking compassionate Female Support Practitioners with a driver’s licence to join our team. No prior care experience required; we hire on values and transferable skills and provide full training including a funded SVQ.

As a Support Practitioner you will assist people in their own homes with daily living, medication, finances, meals and personal care, and support their hobbies and independence.

Qualifications

  • No care experience needed; training provided including a funded SVQ.
  • Only female candidates with a full UK driving licence can apply.
  • Empathetic and caring with good observation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Confidence in using computers and basic IT.
  • Ability to work well in a team and on your own.
  • Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals living in their own homes with daily living activities, including medication and finances.
  • Support with housework, meal preparation, cooking and personal care, while encouraging hobbies and independence.
