Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Support Assistant at our Homelessness Service, Montague House & The Haven, Bridlington Services

The role of Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality, hands on, personalised care and support service
  • Supporting customers to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
  • Encouraging customers to develop their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning and being an active part of the community
  • Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our customers
  • Maintaining a safe environment for customers, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices

Skills and experiences:

  • You will have previous experience in a similar care and support role, ideally working with vulnerable people
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to customers whatever their needs
  • You will be empathetic and non-judgmental with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload
  • N VQ2 in Health & Social Care is desirable
