Job Description: Bank Sterile Services Technician - Weekends

We are inviting applications for the position of Bank Sterile Services Technician at Ramsay Sterile Services East Midlands, Kettering, Northamptonshire. This is a bank position, working on an ad-hoc basis, with the recent opening of a new Decontamination Hub in April 2023.

The role involves joining our busy team to provide efficient decontamination services across 9 Ramsay Hospital sites, operating 24/7. We seek a committed individual interested in flexible weekend shifts, including day or night hours.

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in decontamination of re-usable medical devices or completion of a recognized decontamination course (NVQ/TVQ/Technical Certificate).
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and interested in career development.
  • Good communication skills, team player, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office and customer service skills.
  • Willing to work occasional night shifts upon competence achievement.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform the full decontamination cycle on surgical instruments to high standards, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  2. Participate in quality control processes, ensuring accurate documentation.
