Job Description

We are inviting applications for the position of Bank Sterile Services Technician at Ramsay Sterile Services East Midlands in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This is a bank position working on an ad-hoc basis, supporting a new Decontamination Hub that serves 9 Ramsay Hospital sites with 24/7 operations. We seek a dedicated individual to work weekend shifts, including day and night shifts.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in decontamination of re-usable medical devices or a recognized decontamination qualification (NVQ/TVQ/Technical Certificate). This role offers flexible working hours, suitable for current Bank workers or those seeking additional hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing the full decontamination cycle on surgical instruments to high standards, following all policies and procedures.
  • Participating in quality control processes and ensuring accurate documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Decontamination Technician in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work occasional night shifts after competence is achieved.
