Bank Staff Nurse (Surgical Orthopaedics)

Cromwell Hospital, London SW5 0TU

As a Bank Staff Nurse, you will work on The Surgical and Orthopaedic ward based at the prestigious Cromwell Hospital. You’ll work as part of a wide-ranging MDT who provide a large range of surgical specialties to include orthopaedics, ENT, Plastics, Aesthetics, Abdominal Surgery, Breast Surgery and others.

As a Bank Staff Nurse, you will be a caring and compassionate nurse, delivering a high standard of care to our patients. We value all our people and will provide you support and a great place to work.

What you'll do:

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised quality patient care.
  • Supply and administer medication safely in line with hospital policy.
  • Assess and support patients with their adherence and understanding of their
    medication.
  • Work with the multi-disciplinary team and collaboratively ensure appropriate
    care is provided.
  • Respect people’s rights to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain people’s right to dignity, privacy, and confidentiality whilst under care at The Cromwell Hospital.
  • Take on extra duties and responsibilities as delegated, and work within the scope of your professional practice, being aware of your own capability and limitations.
  • Keep clear and accurate records, following NMC standards of documentation.

What you’ll bring:

  • Registered General Nurse and NMC PIN required.
  • Nursing experience in a Surgical ward.
  • Pleasant and cheerful manner, being supportive and approachable.
  • Contribute to a high-quality safe working environment in which patients receive a high standard of care.
  • Ability to work well both in a team and to use your own initiative.
  • Ability to maintain professional communication.
