Job summary

Circle Health Group’s The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate seeks a Sonographer Echo (Bank) to join the Imaging Department on an as-and-when-required basis. You will provide high-quality ultrasound imaging, report findings, and support efficient patient flow during busy periods.

The role involves solo reporting, adherence to imaging protocols, and shared responsibility for quality assurance within the department. It is a bank role with flexible shifts and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Diploma in medical ultrasound (DMU) or PgCert/PgDip is essential.
• Experience in autonomous practice and independent reporting is required.
• Prior experience in patient-facing care and handling challenging situations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality ultrasound imaging services across the Imaging Department.
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound scans within scope of competence and report findings.
• Assist modality leads to maintain efficient workflow and accurate patient records.
• Contribute to quality assurance tests and protocol adherence.
• Participate in supervision, training and peer review of staff.
