St Andrew’s Healthcare is a charity providing specialist mental healthcare services. We collaborate with NHS, voluntary, educational, and research organizations to deliver inpatient and community mental healthcare, education, and research aimed at improving lives of people with complex mental health needs.

Our Divisions

Low Secure Service: Our goal is to provide high-quality assessment, care, and treatment, helping patients progress to the least restrictive setting and develop skills for independent living close to their communities.

Our multidisciplinary teams have extensive experience working with individuals with:

• Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) with co-morbid Disordered Eating
• Mental illness for adults and older adults
• PICU treating acute admissions to stabilize and step down to a low secure environment

The Medium Secure Mental Health Division: Provides mental healthcare to adult males and females, including older adults, across a spectrum of disorders such as mental illness, personality disorder, borderline or mild learning disability, acquired brain injury, and deafness. We adhere to the National Medium Secure Specifications from NHS England (170042S). We are also piloting a Blended Secure Service for Women, aligning with a draft service specification. Our aim is to help patients recover and transition to lower security levels and eventually to the community.

CAMHS (Child Adolescents Mental Health Services): Our Trauma-Informed Care Service ensures that all practices consider how trauma affects individuals physically, mentally, and socially. We provide low and medium secure Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient services to enable young people to live well and reach their full potential in the least restrictive environment.

ASD/LD (Autism Spectrum Disorder / Learning Disability): Dedicated to providing high-quality assessment, care, and treatment, helping patients develop skills for independent living. Our multidisciplinary teams are experienced in working with individuals with ASD and learning disabilities, valuing each person’s unique qualities.

Neuropsychiatry Service Division: Specializes in tailored care for individuals with complex, acquired, and progressive brain conditions, including acquired brain injury, dementia, and Huntington’s disease. We use holistic therapeutic interventions to address neuropsychiatric and physical health sequelae.
