Base pay range

We have a great opportunity for a Driver/ Handyperson to join our Bank driving team.

In this role you will:

• Carry out deliveries and collections of furniture and goods
• Transfer goods between the retail shops
• Collect goods for delivery to customers
• Remove and safely dispose of any waste material
• Attend to minor repairs, including basic DIY tasks
• Ensure the vehicles are safe and maintained
  
  

You will have previous experience of driving a variety of vehicles, including larger vans. Experience of collecting and delivering goods is desirable and ideally, you will possess a good geographical knowledge of York and the surrounding area. This role is physically demanding too as there is a significant amount of lifting, moving and handling of items which can include stock items, heavy donation bags and light pieces of furniture.

This is a bank position, therefore shifts will be available on an ad hoc basis and will be to cover holiday/ sickness within the team. Our Retail Drivers/ Handypersons work on a rota to cover 6 days out of 7, Monday to Saturday.
