Job summary

Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking a Surgical Registered Nurse (Bank) to join our Staffing Bank. Based on wards, you will provide flexible cover across day and night shifts to support patient care in a private hospital setting.

The role requires active NMC registration, surgical/acute experience, and excellent communication and organizational skills to deliver high-quality patient care while remaining highly adaptable to changing clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Be NMC registered with no restrictions or conditions.
• Have a minimum of 1 month hospital experience after graduation.
• Experience in surgical or acute settings is essential.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse for our Staffing Bank based on the wards at Spire Nottingham Hospital. This role would suit candidates who are looking for a work/life balance and are very flexible.

Duties and responsibilities

• You will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
• Assist in the delivery of care to meet the individuals’ health and wellbeing needs.
• Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
• Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
• Promote best practice in health and safety and security.
• Assist in maintaining and developing services.

Who we're looking for

• Be NMC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
• Have a minimum of 1 months, post-graduation, Hospital experience.
• Have been employed in surgical or acute settings
• You will have excellent communication, organisation and provide the best quality of patient care.
• Must be very flexible
• Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration.
• A surgical background is essential.

Working Hours:We operate a 24/7 ward and offer both days and night shifts.
