Sulis Hospital Bath is seeking experienced Endoscopy Bank Registered Nurses to join our Endoscopy bank register in Bath. You will support endoscopic procedures, maintain high standards of patient care, and ensure accurate records with DBS clearance and active NMC registration.

In this bank role, shifts are Monday to Friday, covering various sessions. You will contribute to safe patient discharge, decontamination, and infection control while delivering compassionate care in a busy environment.

Formación

• Registered nurse with active NMC registration and DBS clearance.
• Experience with endoscopic procedures and patient care.
• Ability to maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Set, monitor and maintain standards of nursing care within policies.
• Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Maintain a friendly environment and ensure dignity and privacy for patients.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records and confidentiality.
• Store, check and administer drugs per guidelines.
• Work with minimal supervision during procedures and recovery.
• Contribute to investigation and follow up on complaints.
• Care for endoscopes and equipment with proper decontamination records.
• Ensure safe discharge of patients from the Endoscopy unit.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment in the clinical area.
• Triage and pre-assess patients for procedures.

Within the role you will demonstrate your ability to.

• Set, monitor and maintain excellent standards of nursing care working within company policies and procedures
• Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice.
• Ensure a friendly environment, maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality
• Store, check and administer drugs in accordance with established standards and guidelines
• Work with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, admission and recovery of patients and other related procedures
• Contribute to the local resolution, investigation and follow up action of any informal or formal complaints.
• Participate in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialised equipment, ensuring agreed standard of decontamination including accurate records of traceability of all endoscopes and associated equipment.
• Ensure the safe discharge of all patients from the Endoscopy unit.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment within the clinical area
• Triage and Pre-Assess Patients against specific criteria to ensure suitable for the procedure

Bank role - Shifts -various to cover Monday - Fridays Endoscopy experience is essential This role requires DBS Clearance Applications will be assessed and responded to as they are received.
