Job summary

Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is seeking a Radiographer to join the Radiology department on a bank, part-time basis. You will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging, work with leading practitioners and step into a clinical lead role.

A BSc in diagnostic radiography and HCPC registration are required; the role offers state-of-the-art equipment and a supportive team.

Overview

Radiographer Plymouth Hospital | Radiology | Bank | Part time | Up to £17 per hour, dependent on experience. State-of-the-art equipment and more time to focus on what matters. We are the UK’s largest healthcare charity. This role involves becoming our new clinical lead and delivering patient-centred radiography with high levels of technical knowledge, speed and accuracy. A BSc in diagnostic radiography and excellent teamwork are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload within the department, on the ward and in theatre.
• Work with leading practitioners and experience new practices, equipment and facilities.
• As a clinical lead, scope to develop policies and procedures.
• Supervise and develop more junior staff members.
• Provide a service of the highest quality, delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

Qualifications

• High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.
• Caring nature with the ability to see each patient as an individual and to carry out duties with empathy.
• BSc degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
