We are currently recruitingdedicated Care Assistants / Healthcare Assistantsto support bothchildren and adults with complex needs.
Available Role: Beeston, Nottingham
Client: You will be providing one-to-one care for a 5-year-old girl with complex health needs, delivering specialist nursing support across home, community, and school settings, ensuring continuity of care throughout her day.
Hours: Day hours are 08:00am- 17:00pm, please note this is a bank role
Pay: £35.00 per hour
Deliver high-quality paediatric nursing care with professionalism and empathy
Support the child safely within a school environment, enabling access to education while meeting clinical needs
Liaise with school staff to ensure care plans and risk assessments are followed
Manage complex conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Dystonia
Provide airway management, including deep suction, repositioning, and oxygen therapy
Administer gastrostomy feeds and medications safely
Support physiotherapy programmes and mobility needs
Assist with personal care and daily living activities
Monitor clinical progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary professionals
Promote a safe, nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Provide occasional holiday cover with the family when required
Duties include:

Deliver compassionate, person-centred care in line with care plans
Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities
Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
Maintain accurate care documentation
Build trusting relationships with clients and families
Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies
Essential Requirements:
Registered Paediatric Nurse with a valid NMC PIN
Minimum of 2 years’ experience caring for children with complex airway needs
PICU experience (essential)
Experience in community-based and school-based care (desirable)
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, child-centred approach
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Enhanced DBS clearance
Competitive pay of £39.90 per hour
