Job summary

Empowering U Healthcare in Stafford (ST19) is seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide person-centred home care for individuals with complex needs, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and mental health support. Placements are live-in with 4 on/4 off rotations; a small dog may be present in some homes.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility support, medication administration, meal prep, and daily activities, with DBS clearance and a UK driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

  • Enhanced DBS required
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)

  • Assist with medication administration, nebulisers, and seizure management

  • Monitor and report changes in health and wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate care records and follow care plans
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and internal teams

We are currently recruitingdedicated Care Assistants / Healthcare Assistantsto support bothchildren and adults with complex needs.

Available Role: Stafford (ST19)

Client: You will be supporting individuals in their own homes with complex needs, including:

  • Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome

  • Mental health support needs

Placements are live-in, typically on a 4 on 4 off basis, and may include access to adapted vehicles for community outings. Pet in the home, Small Dog
Pay: £143.13 per day (£133.13 + £10 daily food allowance)

About the role
Role-Specific Responsibilities

  • What We’re Looking For

    Caring nature and genuine desire to help others

    6+ months care experience (essential)

    Complex Care Experience

    A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach

    Strong verbal and written English skills

    Fluency in English

    Ability to work both independently and within a team

    Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

    Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
