Empowering U Healthcare is seeking a Registered Paediatric Nurse to provide one-to-one care for a 5-year-old with complex health needs across home, community, and school settings. The role involves following care plans, administering feeds and medications, and ensuring continuity of care throughout the day.

Hours are day-time with bank shifts, offering comprehensive nurse-led training, NVQ enrolment, and ongoing professional development within a supportive clinical team.

Competenze

• Registered Paediatric Nurse with valid NMC PIN.
• Minimum 2 years' experience caring for children with complex airway needs.
• PICU experience is essential.
• Experience in community-based and school-based care is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, child-centred approach.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Descrizione del lavoro

• Support the child safely within a school environment, enabling access to education while meeting clinical needs
• Liaise with school staff to ensure care plans and risk assessments are followed
• Manage complex conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Dystonia
• Provide airway management, including deep suction, repositioning, and oxygen therapy
• Administer gastrostomy feeds and medications safely
• Support physiotherapy programmes and mobility needs
• Assist with personal care and daily living activities
• Monitor clinical progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary professionals
• Promote a safe, nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development
• Provide occasional holiday cover with the family when required

  Client: You will be providing one-to-one care for a 5-year-old girl with complex health needs, delivering specialist nursing support across home, community, and school settings, ensuring continuity of care throughout her day.Hours: Day hours are 08:00am- 17:00pm, please note this is a bank rolePay: £35.00 per hour, Competitive pay of £39.90 per hour
