Job summary

Spire Murrayfield Hospital in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced administrator to join the Outpatients team on an ad-hoc bank basis. You will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward for patients, visitors and staff.

Key duties include handling consultant clinic requests, scheduling appointments, answering telephone enquiries, and liaising with Catering about refreshments. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Outpatient department for patients, visitors and staff.
• Handle consultant clinic requests, appointment scheduling and related administrative duties.
• Deal with all telephone enquiries efficiently and courteously.
• Provide clear, concise information to all enquiries.
• Liaise with Catering Department regarding refreshments for patients and visitors.
• Prepare clinic lists, patient registration forms, charging and other duties as required.
• Ensure all filing of results and information is accurately filed in patient notes.
