Practice Plus Group is seeking an experienced Bank Outpatient Nurse to support the Outpatients team in Ilford. The role focuses on comprehensive pre-operative assessments and patient preparation for surgery, working closely with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
You will assess fitness for surgery, interpret investigations, and provide expert guidance to patients. The bank role offers flexible hours, with shifts allocated based on needs and availability.
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for pre-assessment and patient-centred care? We are looking for a Bank Outpatient Nurse to join our Outpatients team. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexibly within a busy and supportive outpatient environment, carrying out comprehensive pre-operative assessments and helping patients prepare safely for surgery. You'll use your clinical expertise to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care throughout their surgical journey while benefiting from the flexibility that bank work can offer. As our Bank Outpatient Nurse, you'll play a key role in assessing patients' fitness for surgery and supporting them through the pre-operative process. Working closely with consultants, multidisciplinary teams and administrative colleagues, you'll undertake detailed clinical assessments, review investigation results and provide patients with expert advice to ensure they are fully prepared for their procedure. You'll also support service quality, clinical governance and the development of junior colleagues within the department. This role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option—but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.
