Havant & South Downs College (HSDC) is seeking a reliable Minibus Driver to transport students and staff, maintain minibuses, and keep up-to-date vehicle checks. The role includes supporting campus teams and occasional evenings, with a focus on safety and customer service.

The ideal candidate will hold a D1 licence endorsement and MIDAS qualification, with strong communication skills and a proactive team approach. Open evenings and events may require additional hours.

Responsabilidades

• Drive the College minibuses as directed, maintaining vehicles and documentation to high standards.
• Support across campus teams delivering customer-focused support and service.
• Drive college vehicles in line with schedules as directed by Educational Visit Coordinators.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness, report defects to Coordinators.
• Keep required records (log sheets, mileage logs, check sheets) and work overtime for Open/ Awards Evenings as needed.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, flexible and customer-focused Minibus Driver to join our team at HSDC.

You will be responsible for safely transporting students and staff, maintaining our college minibuses to a high standard and ensuring all vehicle checks and records are kept up to date. The role will also involve supporting the wider campus teams when needed.

The ideal candidate will hold a D1 licence endorsement and MIDAS qualification, have excellent communication and customer service skills, and be comfortable working flexibly, including occasional evenings. Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• To drive the College minibuses as directed, maintaining the vehicles and all required documentation to the highest of standards.
• To support across campus teams in delivering an exemplary, best practice, customer focussed support and service aligned with the college’s strategic aims and objectives.
• To drive the college vehicles in line with schedules, as directed by the Educational Visit Co-ordinators.
• To maintain the colleges vehicles ensuring high standards of cleanliness (internally and externally) and roadworthiness, reporting all defects immediately to the Educational Visit Co-ordinators.
• To maintain records as required by the Educational Visit Co-ordinators e.g. vehicle log sheets, mileage logs, check sheets
• To work overtime as required to cover the driving schedule, including college Open Evenings and Awards Evenings.

Requirements

You will need:

• Good general education to include Maths and English to Grade C, or willingness to undertake.
• D1 licence endorsement, or training course.
• MIDAS qualification.
• Experience of working with vehicles within an Educational environment.
