Job Overview:
University Hospitals Dorset is currently looking to recruit experienced Mental Health Support Workers (MHSW) to join our bank, who are looking to work flexibly across our sites in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. An exciting opportunity has arisen to build a flexible workforce to support patients presenting to UHD with mental health, cognitive or challenging behavioural difficulties.

Job Responsibilities:
As a bank worker, you will provide 1-2-1 care focusing on safety for both patients and staff as well as therapeutic intervention. You will also work as part of the wider team supporting colleagues and other healthcare professionals when requested. The post holder will provide outstanding personal and enhanced care to patients needing additional nursing and emotional support in a high-stress environment.
This patient group may include but is not limited to:
A level of fitness and ability to complete physical intervention training is required. Breakaway (with safehold) training will be provided to successful candidates and is a condition of the bank agreement.
Successful candidates must be available to attend the full mandatory trust induction program, which will consist of a two-week program (Monday to Friday, consecutively) plus two additional recall days.
