Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a Bank Mammographer for the Jarvis Centre in Guildford, with the option to work at mobile screening units across Surrey and North East Hampshire. The role supports the National Breast Screening Programme and involves a flexible rota across main site and mobile units.

You will perform quality mammography, support patients with care and professionalism, and mentor Assistant Practitioners while staying current with best practice and QA processes.

Qualifications

• BSc in Radiography and PG Cert in Mammography are required.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out high-quality mammograms to detect breast cancer early.
• Supporting patients with compassion, reassurance, and professionalism.
• Assisting in assessment clinics, including additional views and stereotactic biopsies.

Location: Jarvis Centre, Guildford / Surrey & NE Hants Hours: Bank / Flexible Are you an experienced Mammographer looking for a role that works around you while making a real impact in womens health? Were looking for a passionate and skilled Bank Mammographer to join our friendly Breast Screening team at the Jarvis Centre in Guildford. This flexible role gives you the freedom to pick up shifts that fit your lifestyle , whether thats at our main site or on one of our five mobile screening units across Surrey & North East Hampshire. As part of the National Breast Screening Programme, youll play a vital role in delivering life-saving services to women in our community. Youll be working alongside a dedicated multi-disciplinary team all united by a shared goal: providing the highest standards of care.

What Youll Be Doing

• Carrying out high-quality mammograms to help detect breast cancer early.
• Supporting patients with compassion, reassurance, and professionalism.
• Assisting in assessment clinics, including additional views and stereotactic biopsies.
• Mentoring and guiding Assistant Practitioners to help them grow in their careers.
• Taking part in our Quality Assurance Programme and keeping up-to-date with best practice.
• Joining the rota to cover both the Jarvis Centre and mobile screening sites.
