Join Farmfield Hospital as a Bank Maintenance Assistant, where you will help create a well-presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.

As a Bank Maintenance Assistant, your responsibilities will include ensuring that the service's facilities are fit for purpose, gardening, and conducting regular audits to identify and repair faults, maintaining a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors.

You will work alongside an established team, handling maintenance tasks, liaising with contractors, and supporting the upkeep of the service.

As a Bank Maintenance Assistant, you will be:

• Assisting with maintaining the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose.
• Using good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users.
• Participating in regular checks and maintenance tasks.
• Supporting the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
• Assisting with decorating tasks.
• Liaising with managers to report faults and defects.
• Participating in a one-week on-call rota for emergency maintenance.
• Supporting contractors on-site and completing all necessary paperwork and tool checks.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Follow systems and procedures.
• Have previous maintenance experience.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Attend training sessions and staff meetings.

Where you will be working:

Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Surrey, RH6 0BN

You will be working at Farmfield Hospital, located next to Gatwick.

You will care for adult men aged 18+ with potential forensic backgrounds and enduring mental health issues, such as personality disorders, substance misuse, and challenging behaviors.
