Job summary

Cygnet is seeking a Bank Kitchen Assistant at St Teilo House in Rhymney, Wales. You will help prepare meals, maintain hygiene, and support stock management in a 23-bed rehabilitation setting.

We are looking for a Bank Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Cygnet St Teilo.

Located in the village of Rhymney, amid the beautiful Welsh countryside, Cygnet St Teilo House is a 23-bed service specialising in high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for women in a safe and comfortable environment. Cygnet St Teilo House has been designed to provide an environment that promotes recovery for women with its focus on space, personal privacy and dignity.

Your Day-to-Day...

Salary: £13 per hour +12.1% annual leave

• Assist the team in the providing balanced, appetising meals
• Perform basic food preparation, cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
• Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
• Sort, store & distribute ingredients, check deliveries and assist with stock ordering
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure the kitchen is clean & hygienic
• Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
• Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
