Job summary

Care UK is seeking a compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join its bank team. You will support daily kitchen operations, ensure cleanliness, assist with food prep, and follow directions from the Head Chef or Home Manager.

This role emphasizes flexibility, teamwork and resident-centered service in a caring environment. We offer in-house training, opportunities for development, and access to apprenticeship schemes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas
• Prepare produce for mealtime, e.g. vegetable prep and making sandwiches
• Ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable produce
• Safely store cleaning materials
• Keep cooking utensils and pots cleaned to required standards
• Carry out tasks assigned by Head/Second Chef or Home Manager

The Role
