Job summary

Advinia is seeking a Bank General Assistant at Woodfield Care Home to help prepare and serve meals for Residents, Staff and Visitors. This flexible role offers shifts that fit your schedule within a supportive kitchen team.

You will assist with meal preparation, ensure storage and hygiene standards, and work with colleagues to maintain a calm, efficient service. Basic numeracy and literacy are required; catering qualifications are desirable.

• Experience of working within similar role.
• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting catering staff with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Serving Residents, Staff and Visitors with food and beverages.
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Ensuring that all areas, equipment and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
• As part of the catering team, ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Liaising with the wider team.

As a Bank Catering Assistant you will be:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Relevant Catering Qualification (Desirable)

• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP

• Experience of working within similar role.

You will work alongside the multidisciplinary service to promote great food service.
