Job summary

St Margaret's Hospice is seeking a Bank Housekeeper in Yeovil to keep our hospice clean, safe and welcoming. This flexible bank role supports clinical services and patient comfort, with shifts typically 6am-2pm or 9am-5pm, five days a week, including some Saturdays and bank holidays.

You will be part of a friendly, compassionate team and benefit from on-site parking and DBS background checks. The hourly rate is £13.12, and applications are encouraged from diverse backgrounds.

What can you expect to be doing?

As a Bank Housekeeper, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our hospice clean, safe, and welcoming.

Your work will support the smooth running of our Clinical Services and help create a comforting environment for patients, families, and visitors.

Our housekeeping service operates five days a week, between 6am and 5pm, with shift patterns typically 6am-2pm or 9am-5pm. You’ll also be part of a rota that includes some Saturdays and bank holidays.

What will you be good at?

We’re seeking someone who is:

• A great team player
• Dilligent and conscientious
• Experience of cleaning in a healthcare environment

Due to the nature of the work, this can be a physically demanding role.

If you are successful at interview, this role will require a standard background check via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
