Job summary

St Margaret's Hospice is seeking a Bank Housekeeper in Yeovil to provide cleaning and housekeeping support in a warm, patient-centered environment. The role operates five days a week between 6am and 5pm with common shifts 6am–2pm or 9am–5pm, and includes Saturdays and bank holidays on a rota.

DBS background check may be required. The role offers an hourly rate of £13.12 with a flexible bank/casual contract and on-site parking.

What can you expect to be doing?

As a Bank Housekeeper, you’ll play a vital part in keeping our hospice clean, safe, and welcoming.

Your work will support the smooth running of our Clinical Services and help create a comforting environment for patients, families, and visitors.

Our housekeeping service operates five days a week, between 6am and 5pm, with shift patterns typically 6am–2pm or 9am–5pm. You’ll also be part of a rota that includes some Saturdays and bank holidays.

Due to the nature of the work, this can be a physically demanding role.

If you are successful at interview, this role will require a standard background check via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
