Job summary

Spire Clare Park Hospital is seeking a Bank Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across patient rooms, clinical areas and public spaces. Working on an ad hoc basis, you will support the housekeeping team during busy periods, annual leave and staff absences.

You will liaise with clinical teams, follow infection control policies, and ensure a professional, patient‑facing service. Previous experience in housekeeping or a customer-facing role, plus reliable, flexible

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital in line with infection control and housekeeping policies.

As a Bank Housekeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues. Working on a flexible, ad hoc basis, you will help support the housekeeping team during busy periods, annual leave, and staff absences.,

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital in line with infection control and housekeeping policies.
• Complete cleaning schedules to ensure patient rooms, clinical areas, and public spaces are ready for use.
• Work closely with the Senior Housekeeper and report issues promptly.
• Liaise with clinical teams to support the day-to-day needs of the hospital.

• Comply with Health & Safety, COSHH, moving and handling, and confidentiality requirements.
• Ensure a professional and positive experience for patients and visitors. Previous experience in a housekeeping, hospitality, domestic, or customer-facing role.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
• A professional appearance and approach suited to a healthcare environment.
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
