Job summary

The Avalon Centre in Swindon is seeking a Bank Housekeeper to maintain a safe, clean environment for residents with neurological conditions. You will clean wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors areas, working with the maintenance team to uphold high standards and flexibility to choose shifts.

You will receive full training, be part of a supportive staff bank, and enjoy weekly pay with a competitive hourly rate of £13.11 including uplift.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning in healthcare settings or similar environments.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication and ability to interact respectfully with staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following policies and procedures.
• Active member of the team with day-to-day operation responsibilities.
• Maintaining telephone etiquette and greeting visitors professionally.
• Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with staff, visitors and service users.
• Helping create a positive culture.

If you have an eye for detail and enjoy creating a safe and clean environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, then join the team at The Avalon Centre as a Bank Housekeeper. You will be an integral part of the staff bank at a service for those who have long term neurological conditions where you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area. Working closely with the maintenance team you’ll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and be able to confidently deliver high standard cleaning services. As staff bank, enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your schedule at £12.85 per hour including a 12.07% pay uplift and enjoy weekly pay. enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your schedule. As a Housekeeper you will be:

• Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
• To be an active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation.
• Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users.
• Helping create a positive culture.
• Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
• Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

• Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment

Where you will be working:

Location: The Avalon Centre, Edison Park Hindle Way, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN3 3RT You will be working at The Avalon Centre, a purpose built neurological centre for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury. The centre has been designed specifically to support people with Neurological conditions, because of their injury, have challenging and complex needs and require a neurobehavioral rehabilitation programme.
