Rhodes Wood Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare Limited, is hiring a Bank Housekeeper to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents with long-term neurological conditions. You will clean wards, offices, bedrooms and visitor areas while supporting the maintenance team to uphold high hygiene standards.

The role offers flexible shifts, weekly pay, and a comprehensive induction with training. Weekend work is available, along with a 13.11/hour rate plus a 12.07% holiday uplift.

Job Description

If you have an eye for detail and enjoy creating a safe and clean environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, then join the team at Rhodes Wood Hospital as a Bank Housekeeper.

You will be an integral part of the staff bank at a service for those who have long term neurological conditions where you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area.

Working closely with the maintenance team you’ll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and be able to confidently deliver high standard cleaning services.

As staff bank, enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your schedule at £13.11 per hour plus a 12.07% pay uplift and enjoy weekly pay.

You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better.

Weekend shift available and occasional weekday from 7am-3pm.

As a Housekeeper you will be:

• Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
• To be an active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation.
• Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users.
• Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
• Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment
• Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done
• Prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively
• Have good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.

Where you will be working:

Join the team at Rhodes Wood Hospital providing care for children and young people aged 8-18 years with eating disorders who require residential care, working on tailored treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person.

There is also an on-site Ofsted Registered school to support young people continue with their education while in hospital. Rhodes Wood Hospital is located on the outskirts of Hatfield, which is easily reachable by car.
