Elysium Health care is seeking a Bank Housekeeper to join Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre in Sawbridgeworth. You will clean wards, offices, bedrooms and visitor areas, working with the maintenance team to ensure spotless conditions across the service.

You’ll have flexible shifts as part of the staff bank, with training provided and a pathway to contribute to high-quality care in a safe environment.

If you have an eye for detail and enjoy creating a safe and clean environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, then join the team at Jacobs Neurological centre as a Bank Housekeeper.

You will be an integral part of the staff bank at a service for those who have long term neurological conditions where you will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area.

Working closely with the maintenance team you’ll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and be able to confidently deliver high standard cleaning services.

As staff bank, enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your schedule at £13.11 per hour including a 12.07% pay uplift and enjoy weekly pay.

You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better.

As a Housekeeper you will be:

• Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
• To be an active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation.
• Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greeting visitors in a professional manner.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users.
• Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
• Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Gardens Neurological Centre and Jacobs Neurological Centre have a combined total of 132 beds on the same site in Sawbridgeworth (CM21 0HH), which is on the Hertfordshire and Essex border within easy travelling distance of London and Cambridge.

The two Centres deliver specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions, and brain or spinal injuries who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability. Recovery is assisted wherever possible, with emphasis placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.

Each service has communal lounges, dining rooms, and all bedrooms have en-suite facilities with over 95% on single occupancy. All rooms are adapted to each resident's requirements according to their assessments and needs.
