Job summary

St Monica Trust is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to join our village cafe team on a part-time basis. You will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to deliver a friendly food and drink service in a welcoming, clean environment for residents and customers.

You will provide café/barista service, handle EPOS transactions and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, including end-of-day kitchen closing and waste removal.

Hourly rate : £13.45 per hour, plus bank and weekend enhancement

The Hospitality Assistants work closely with the Head Chef (Village) and Chef (Village) to provide a food and drink service in a welcoming, clean environment for our residents/customers in our village cafe.

• Creates a welcoming environment for residents and customers in our village restaurants with a focus on customer service and providing a wide variety of food and drinks. Builds a rapport with residents.
• Provides a café/barista service in the village restaurants.
• Serves customers using the EPOS.
• Responsible for day-to-day cleanliness, hygiene and washing up after a food service.
• Safely closes down the kitchen at the end of the day in line with protocols in preparation for the next day. Removes waste.
