Job summary

Nuffield Health Vale Hospital, Outpatients, is seeking Healthcare Assistants to join our ad hoc bank team. You will support a range of outpatient clinics, assist with procedures, and help ensure the clinics run smoothly with a patient-centred approach.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting, along with strong communication and IT skills. This is a flexible bank role with various shifts available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care required or equivalent.
• Experience in an acute hospital or care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues in multiple outpatient specialities (e.g., Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy).
• Provide patient-centred care and support to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Support consultants and nurses with procedures such as dressings and wound care.
• Help manage changing priorities and daily tasks to keep clinics running efficiently.
• Demonstrate patience, focus and clear communication with patients and staff.

As a Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients, you will:

• Assist colleagues in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy
• Enjoy more time to care for patients as individuals
• Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities
• Make sure theday-to-dayoperations of our various clinics run smoothly
• Assist consultants and nurses with procedures, such as dressings and wound care
