Job summary

Nuffield Health Vale Hospital Pharmacy Assistant (Bank) role is part-time and ad-hoc, working across Vale Hospital. You will need NVQ2 or equivalent in pharmacy services, with hospital experience preferred, and strong communication and people skills to interact with patients and clinical staff.

The role involves stock control, procurement using electronic systems, ward stock top ups, and general administrative support.

As a Pharmacy Assistant at our Vale Hospital,you will have NVQ2 or equivalent in pharmacy services and ideally have previous hospital experience. It’s also important that you have excellent communication and people skills, as you’ll be working closely with our patients and a variety of clinical staff.

As a Pharmacy Assistant you will:

• To monitor stock levels within the Pharmacy department to maintain appropriate stock levels
• To assist with the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments using appropriate electronic systems
• To monitor stock levels within the pharmacy department
• To monitor stock levels in designated ward/department areas by carrying out stock top ups
• To assist with supplying stock to other departments
• To participate in pharmacy and departmental stock takes
• To provide general administrative support to the department
