Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants or Support Workers to join the Dove House staff bank in Creswell. After completing a paid two-week induction, you’ll access available shifts at Dove House and potential future regional bank shifts with Elysium services across the region.

We’re exclusively seeking candidates with Complex Care, Personality Disorder, Mental Health, and Learning Disability experience.

• Ability to work weekdays, nights and weekends and manage shifts flexibly.

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker wanting control and flexibility to work the shifts you want? We are exclusively recruiting for candidates that have Complex Care, Personality Disorder, Mental Health, Learning Disability experience only. There is no minimum number of hours that you need to work, although it is recommended to work as often as you can to ensure your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service is retained. Weekdays, nights and weekend shifts are regularly available, which are easy to view and book through an app. Within a few taps you’ll have the shifts at Dove House secured that you want. Whether your nursing experience is from the NHS or private sector, you can join the team as a Bank Healthcare Assistant with an hourly rate that includes a 12.07% uplift to cover annual leave, plus have access to a range of benefits including free meals on duty, free parking and more.

What you will be doing:

• You will join the team that works well together to provide care for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism conditions.
• Whether you are currently a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker, you will utilise your experience to support people to lead a valued and fulfilled life.
• It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important.
• But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; being able to do something today that they couldn’t do last week because of you.

Where you will be working:

• Location: Colliery Road, Creswell, Worksop, S80 4BX
• Be part of a team at this residential service for adults under 65 years with a Learning Disability, Autism and sensory and communication differences located in Creswell, a 10 minute drive from Worksop.
• Dove House is a specialist, robust service to support people with ongoing complex needs and behaviours that challenge who are stepping down from hospital or to avoid an inappropriate admission to hospital and to enable them to return to their home area.
• The model was introduced to emulate community care for individuals with complex needs in robust, spacious accommodation.
