Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant or Support Worker seeking control and flexibility to choose your shifts?

After completing a paid two-week induction, you'll have access to available shifts at Thornford Park Hospital in Thatcham, with potential future options to work regionally at other Elysium services.

There is no minimum hours requirement, though working regularly helps maintain your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service.

Shifts are available on weekdays, nights, and weekends, easily viewable and bookable through our app. With just a few taps, you can secure the nursing shifts you want.

What you will be doing

You will be part of a team providing care for individuals with various mental health conditions. Your experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Worker will support people in leading valued and fulfilled lives.

The environment can be challenging at times; therefore, a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are essential. It is rewarding to see progress, knowing you contributed to it.

Experience delivering great healthcare and making a difference to vulnerable individuals is valued. The service operates 24/7 with 12.5-hour shifts. As a bank staff member, you'll be on a zero-hour contract, choosing shifts that suit you.

Where you will be working

At Thornford Park, a 130-bed independent hospital supporting medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services, including PICU Mental Health Services.

The service offers a seamless care pathway, supporting recovery and rehabilitation. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment and treatment for males with mental health and complex care needs, including personality disorders, and both females and males in PICU services.

The service operates 24/7 with 12.5-hour shifts. As a nurse or healthcare assistant on our bank, you'll be on a zero-hour contract, selecting your preferred shifts.
