Job summary

Nuffield Health in Brentwood is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to work in Outpatients on a bank, ad-hoc basis. The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and bring relevant experience from acute hospital or care settings.

A patient, detail-oriented and IT-literate approach is essential. You will support multi-disciplinary clinics, help with dressings and wound care, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, and other services.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and IT literacy are essential.
• Flexible, patient and team minded with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist colleagues in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastics Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, GP Services, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy.
• Enjoy more time to care for patients as individuals.
• Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities.
• Make sure the day-to-day operations of our various clinics run smoothly.
• Assist consultants and nurses with procedures, such as dressings and wound care.
