Job summary

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is a private 46-bed facility in West Hampshire, offering Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Women’s Health and Spinal surgery with onsite Radiology, Pathology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy to deliver comprehensive patient care.

As a Healthcare Assistant on the ward (Bank), you’ll support nurses, assist with pre and post‑operative care, and help with administrative duties while delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required.
• Good telephone manner and communication skills are essential.
• Strong computer and database skills are preferred for patient records and admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Put patient care first.
• Carry out administrative duties.
• Support a team of Registered Nurses and consultants in delivering patient care pre and post surgery.
• Engage with patients to understand their needs.

Up to £14 per hour depending on experience

Asa HealthcareAssistant on the ward at our hospital,you'll show us you're able to meet deadlines and follow instructions.You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills.You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and hold relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.
