BANK Forensic Nurse or Paramedic - Workington Custody Suite

Overview

We are seeking passionate, resilient healthcare professionals to join our team as Forensic Custody Healthcare Professionals based in Cumbria. This role offers a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, providing high-quality care to detainees in custody, including forensic sample collection and assessment of medical needs.

Qualifications
  • Qualified Registered Nurse or Paramedic
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience

Experience in forensics is not necessary as training and support will be provided to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.

Work Schedule

The role features a 4-on-4-off rota pattern, including day and night shifts, allowing for excellent work-life balance and advance planning of personal time.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct forensic sampling, including blood tests for road traffic offences
  • Signposting, referrals, and supporting vulnerable individuals
  • Deliver substance misuse therapies
  • Assess and care for detainees and staff
  • Manage acute medical conditions
  • Promote personal healthcare
  • Collaborate with Liaison and Diversion teams to identify mental health needs

Requirements
