Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Bank Early Years Teacher for our Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool in London. You will plan and deliver engaging learning activities and provide exceptional care to support each child’s development and individual needs.

You will assess progress, adapt environments to foster exploration, and collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure a safe, stimulating setting in line with EYFS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS).
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Strong safeguarding and child-protection knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that meet individual needs.
• Make accurate assessments reflecting each child’s interests and stages.
• Ensure indoor/outdoor environments remain stimulating and inspiring for children.

Nursery – Bright Horizons Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool Salary – Starting from £16.09 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience) Location – Crouch End, London

Our 79-place nursery features two exciting outdoor areas, which are specifically design to be age appropriate, including its own beach, outdoor classroom, jungle walk and look-out tower! Our nursery is located very close by to Crouch Hill Overground Station and also near by to the Victoria line!

The Role As an Early Years Teacher, you will plan and deliver rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all the children to develop and meet their individual needs. You will make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests, and stages of each child, and ensure the indoor and outdoor environments are consistently stimulating and inspiring for the children.

What we’re looking for

• Hold either Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Early Years Practitioner Status (EYPS)
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both colleagues and parents
