Job summary

Crosslaw House Care Home in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, is seeking a Domestic Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. You will clean bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas, and assist with laundry while handling personal belongings with care.

The role emphasises infection control, health & safety, and teamwork with care staff to ensure high hygiene standards and a comfortable living space for residents.”

Located in Lanark, South Lanarkshire, our beautiful care home provides Nursing & Dementia care for 45-residents.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to Bank hours per week
• Paid PVG, uniform provided

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
